The Knight Before Christmas

When I logged into Netflix this morning I was planning to watch another episode of the Great British Baking Show. However, the preview playing at the top of the menu caught my eye and my morning viewing plans were immediately derailed. My thoughts went something like this: Another Vanessa Hudgens Christmas movie? Oh, this is going to be terrible, I can't wait! (remember The Princess Switch from last year??) Who is the male lead in this? Oh, is that Hugh Armitage from Poldark?? Does this include time travel? Where is the play button, I need to see this right NOW! Source My thoughts after the first few minutes: Vanessa Hudgens perpetually looks like she's 13, even when she's a highschool teacher. I do like her sweater though, where can I buy that? Also, Josh Whitehouse is a dreamboat! Holiday in the Wild

I know it's only the first week of November. I know that Halloween was just days ago and there are many weeks until Christmas. I am usually stubborn about waiting until after Thanksgiving to start in on the Christmas season. But I just got too excited to start my Christmas rom com movies this year. I have a few on my Netflix watchlist that will be coming out later this month but the first one I saw previews for this year was Holiday in the Wild . I was intrigued immediately. It has two very big names attached- Rob Lowe and Kristin Davis- both of whom are more seasond actors than your typical leads in this genre. I was, of course, expecting it to be cheesy and predictable, one of those movies you love to hate. Man! Did this one surprise me! It starts out as these usually do- New York City, husband/significant other who is a jerk, life crisis forces main character out of her usual habitat, ruggedly handsome fellow comes to her aid.
